Planting soil
To give plants a good start, it is important to use the right planting soil. At Heijnen Plants, we have developed our own planting soil for this purpose. By mixing Heijnen Plants planting soil through the existing soil of your garden, humus levels in the soil are increased, which offers many benefits. Our planting soil allows earthworms and other soil organisms to thrive in the soil, which has a positive effect on water permeability and soil oxygen levels (aerated soil). In addition, because of our planting soil, nutrients (minerals) provided with the fertiliser are more easily retained in these organic materials. With this planting soil, water will also be better retained, so plants will be able to absorb nutrients better and (re-)grow better. Fertilising the garden in combination with Heijnen Plants planting soil creates the ideal conditions that benefit the growth, flowering and health of garden plants!
Use of Heijnen Plants planting soil
Heijnen Plants planting soil is added during the planting of a plant or tree. It is important to mix the planting soil well with the existing soil. Proper planting instructions for each plant or tree can be found on this page.
The planting soil offers the plant nutrition for about 2 months. This provides the plant with a good foundation and reduces the chance of failure in new plantings. The soil is suitable for all garden plants, hedges and trees.
