Description
Organic Maintenance Fertilizer with rootgrow 7 kg
Using the product
Plants obtain nutrients from the soil. They need nutrients to be able to grow. By fertilizing the plant with maintenance fertilizer, you add these nutrients and minerals to the soil. The plants can absorb these with its roots. Maintenance fertilizer not only stimulates plant growth but also prevents leaf fall and protects the plant against diseases and pests.
You will need around 100 grams of maintenance fertilizer for each running metre of hedge. If you have a hedge that is 5 metres long, for instance, you will need around 500 grams of maintenance fertilizer.
Sprinkle the maintenance fertilizer around the trunk of the plant. Once you have applied the fertilizer, use a rake to mix it carefully into the soil. Please make sure you do this carefully, especially with plants that have surface roots.
Maintenance fertilizer needs to be applied twice a year – in the spring (March/April) and again in the middle of the year (June/July). An organic fertilizer provides nutrients for around three months. This means that the fertilizer that is given in the spring has worn off by the end of June/start of July. As temperatures in the summer are often high, your plant needs sufficient food in addition to moisture. To prevent plants from experiencing difficulties in the summer, it is best to apply a second round of fertilizer.
Organic fertilizer provides around 100 days of feeding.
