Three generations of green

A family business founded in 1976.

Back then, under the name Hedge Plants Heijnen. With good reason. In fact, we started as a business specialising in growing high-quality hedge plants.

Our goal has always been to provide top-quality hedge plants we can be proud of. We are still living up to that goal, only now with an expanded range.

Not only have we expanded our range in recent years, but our market coverage has also grown considerably. Hedge Plants Heijnen started out as a company focused on the German market. We have since been able to add many other countries. This meant that a change of name was also needed - and Heijnen Plants was born. Our ambition now is to continue to grow under this name.

Our company is located in Roggel, in the south of the Netherlands, on 12 hectares of land. At first, our sales market was limited to the Netherlands, but now we also export our plants to: Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, France, Sweden and Denmark.

Family business

Our nursery was established in 1976

Heijnen Plants, located in the Dutch town of Roggel, is a family business that has been owned by the Heijnen family for decades. The third generation, Ramon Heijnen, is currently at the helm. Ramon has seen the company develop from a hedge plant grower with a focus on the German market into a grower of all kinds of plants and trees, focused on nine European countries.

Despite the substantial growth, some things have never changed. Heijnen Plants continues to grow its own products and the growth and progress of the plants is closely monitored by our employees. This way, we can ensure that we can continue to offer plants and trees of only the best quality!

Quality

In our company, quality comes first

When a company is growing, it is important not to lose sight of quality. That is something to which we pay close attention. With our years of experience in growing and supplying high-quality plants, we set strict quality standards and plant only the best and fastest-growing plants and trees. We do this by giving each product a great deal of attention.

We grow many of our plants in our own plot, for example. Our staff is involved in all phases, from growing seedlings to planting out, and from moving plants to trimming them. For the other products in our range, we work with other nurseries that maintain the same quality standards. This means that we can always provide our customers with the highest quality, for every variety.

Delivery

Always delivered in good condition

Growing and caring for our plants and trees does not stop there though. The transportation phase is also very important when it comes to high-quality products. For this reason, we work exclusively with carriers who specialise in transporting pallets and boxes of plants, or large avenue trees, to our customers. That way, we can rest assured that it is done with care and attention, and that the products always arrive at your doorstep in good condition.

You do not have to be at home for the delivery of the plants, so you don't need to take a day off work. The plants will be placed in a suitable spot around your home or driveway.

Do customers receive information on how to grow their plants with their delivery?

Yes, with every plant we deliver, the customer receives instructions for the planting and care of that plant. These instructions contain all the information you need.

Do I have a warranty on the products ordered?

Every plant you order from us comes directly from the nursery and is selected based on quality. You get a growth guarantee on these plants. This means that the plant will be well rooted and showing growth within 1 month from the delivery day, especially if proper soil preparation and planting instructions are followed.

Of course, there is always the possibility that a plant dies or does not grow as it should. In that case, please contact us immediately. Our customer service department will respond within 2 business days.

Please note that no warranty claims can be made in the following cases:

- Failure to follow our soil preparation and planting instructions

- Administering too little or too much water

- Frost damage after delivery of the plant(s)

- Damage caused by weather conditions, pests, animal damage, mould and/or improper use (e.g. of plant protection products and fertilisers) after delivery

How will my plants be delivered?

We send small to medium-sized plants as package shipments, using parcel services. Large garden plants and trees are shipped on pallets and delivered to your home by a transport company. To prevent damage to plants, we pack all of our garden plants in a careful and secure manner so that quality is maintained. So don't worry about this!

Do you charge a minimum amount to order?

Yes, we have a minimum order amount of £27,50, excluding shipping costs.

What is the delivery time for my plants?

Package shipments

Delivery time is 1 to 5 business days after receipt of payment. The packaging time, including transportation to the customer, is usually less than 24 hours. Orders prepared for shipment on Friday are usually delivered on Saturday. You will receive a track-and-trace code from our carrier to track your order.

Pallet shipments

For pallet shipments, you can choose your own delivery week in our web shop. Typically, delivery time is between 3 and 9 business days. The exact delivery day and time is not fixed. It will be from Tuesday to Friday between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm.

Please note that in exceptional cases, due to certain circumstances and/or order compositions, deviations from the above delivery time may occur. If that is the case, we will indicate the delivery time that applies to your order in the shopping cart. Also, the shopping cart will show whether it is a package shipment or pallet shipment.

Is Heijnen Plants associated with a quality standard for online shops?
